1. Service Advisor

Main job functions:

  • To maximize service sales and profitability by using professional sales techniques.
  • To create customer confidence in the company by ensuring a professional performance.
  • To ensure the highest standard of courtesy and efficiency in customer contact and communication.
  • To record customer requirements and details accurately.
  • To record vehicle details and service histories accurately.
  • Includes staff management, administration and communication

Responsible for: All reasonable requests from Manager.

Reporting to: Service Manager


Improved profitability:

  • To ensure customer awareness of all products and services available.
  • To sell additional products, services and repair work in a professional manner.
  • To carry out promotional work as directed and with enthusiasm.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

  • To maximize company profile.
  • To ensure the highest degree of efficiency and understanding of customer requirements.
  • To provide customer estimates according to company policy on schedules, times and pricing.

Record Maintenance:

  • To initiate job documentation and maintain customer records and follow-up systems.
  • To document all warranty work as per manufacturers’ requirements and company policy.

Cost Control:

  • To ensure account customers have sufficient credit to enable all work advised to be carried out as agreed.
  • To ensure all work has been carried out as detailed and charged for.
  • To ensure all cash sales are charged and money collected on completion of work.

Experience, qualifications and training:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and other staff members.
  • Ability to accurately record all relevant information.
  • Ability to receive payment for work carried out, accurately and precisely.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of warranty procedures and documentation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge, where appropriate, of computerized recording procedures.
  • Ability to handle upset customers effectively.
  • Training in telephone answering techniques.
  • Technical qualifications an added advantage.

2. Sales Manager

Main job functions:

  • To assist the Dealer Principal in formulating new and used car sales policy.
  • To maximise sales and profitability through satisfaction and retention of customers to meet sales forecast.
  • To develop the necessary sales organisation to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • To ensure optimum stock of cars on premises and/or on order.
  • To ensure cost control to budget within department.

Responsible for: Sales Executives, Driver/Cleaner, Stock Controller.

Reporting to: Dealer Principal, Sales Director, Group Sales Manager.


Improved Profitability:

  • To ensure sales/profit forecasts are achieved by attaining the quarterly sales/profit targets.
  • Sales cost not to exceed gross sales.
  • To ensure that all new and used vehicles stay within the 90 day parameter.
  • To maximise sale of extras on vehicles.
  • To monitor advertising to ensure budget is not exceeded.
  • To monitor all contacts and leads on QC, to ensure that they result in sales.
  • To formulate sales targets for each sales person and ensure that these are achieved.
  • To ensure that the minimum sales staff receive new model launch training according to HASA standards for CSI.
  • To ensure that all car stock, new and old, is sold at a profit.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • To improve the conversion of showroom callers to sales.
  • To ensure that all sales staff in “face-to-face” contract receive customer relations training.

Experience, qualifications and training:

  • Sales management and marketing skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to manage and administer a department, to provide organisation, systems and leadership.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation and of trade practices.
  • Able to motivate a sales team to achieve objectives.
  • Sales qualification, technical qualifications an added advantage.
  • Computer literate.

3. Workshop Manager

Main job functions:

  • Must ensure that the department achieves objectives, and that technicians are aware of procedures for using new products and equipment.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Ensure maintenance of tools, equipment in the Service Area.
  • Facilitate the training and development of technicians in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
  • Conduct annual Performance Appraisal for Workshop Personnel.
  • Provide advice and technical assistance to technicians.
  • Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs before the release of vehicles.
  • Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to Service Workshop policies and procedures.
  • Plan and adjust the workloads of technicians to match their skills and abilities.
  • Maintain communication with the Sales Department for improved Workshop operations.
  • Determine the work prioritization and task allocation for all workshop tasks.
  • Be responsible for the health and safety and welfare of staff and customers in the workshop.
  • Be responsible for the security and efficient running of the workshop and to consider improvements and efficiencies wherever possible.
  • Organize appointments, collections, transportation and support for the workshop where required.
  • Allocate work and support to the workshop staff in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills with colleagues and customers.
  • Supervise and monitor staff in workshop
  • Manage unplanned work resulting from breakdown and emergencies, making sure they are dealt with in efficient manner. (24 hour callout)
  • Manage the vehicle cleaning program to meet the operational requirements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service & ensure industry CSI targets are met on a monthly basis.
  • Open & close the workshop.
  • Make sure all job cards are fully completed and signed off by him/ her.
  • Check that all customers are being sent sms’s while their vehicle is in the workshop.

4. Sales Executives

Main job functions:

  • Sales Executives must work closely with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Must network and negotiate with potential clients and generating revenue for the company.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Sales Executives must use sales applications (QC) to update client information and requests.
  • Sales Executives must keep to their daily hours and need to travel to client locations when needed.
  • Networking and generating a potential buyer base for sale of cars.
  • Arranging and assisting with test drives for vehicles.
  • Proffering and demonstrating product details to clients.
  • Assisting buyers in finding an appropriate vehicle of their convenience.
  • Assisting in giving information to buyers regarding financing options for vehicles.
  • Meeting all set sales targets
  • Keeping track of all the market products and prices.
  • Ensure sold vehicles are properly prepared for delivery
  • Deliver excellent customer service & ensure industry CSi targets are met on a monthly basis
  • Must attend sales meetings, conferences and events when necessary
  • Must Handle clients in a professional manner
  • Must deal with customer issues
  • Must keep up to date with product developments
  • Must be passionate about the sales of the Hyundai Brand
  • Must do well at internet and web marketing
