One thing that Hyundai has been missing over the past few years is a really hot sporty option. While the Hyundai Veloster might satisfy the sporting needs of most people, some of us are looking for a little more… N? Introducing the N sub-brand – Hyundai’s sporty branding first appeared in South Africa on the Hyundai i20 N.
When it comes to road tripping, few places can compare with South Africa. We all know it! With amazing countryside and plenty of amazing things to see and do around the country, it is no wonder that people feel the need to jump in any available car and head off for the hills! But when it comes to road tripping there is one car that simply stands out from the rest by miles: the Hyundai i20.
Early starts, winter swims and driving through hot and humid Durban which means that it is going to get steamy in the car so you need a really great defog system – preferably something comes on automatically.

The new Hyundai isn’t the only new car that is turning heads at the moment. Across in India, Hyundai has recently launched the Hyundai i20 Active, a sportier, more adventurous version of the Hyundai i20.
The all new Hyundai i20 reflects Hyundai’s design ethos and progressive technology combined into a seriously good looking sporty vehicle. The 2015 Hyundai i20 is a completely redesigned new model. Thanks to its new chassis, the 2015 Hyundai i20 is 45mm longer across its wheelbase allowing it to have even more interior space than previous models, which is good news for rear passengers. Hyundai has stated that the new i20 will comfortably seat five people and that the i20’s combined front and rear legroom space will be best in its class.
The Hyundai i20 is already one of our favourite cars and with all of its hot features it is easy to see why! However, Hyundai is never one to rest on their laurels and have started rolling out their brand new upgraded version of the i20.
Hyundai is no stranger to designing and creating sporty and sexy cars, think the racy and raucous Veloster, and now they are bringing that same sexiness to the i20 range with the New Generation i20 Coupe.
You can’t argue with the first impression images – this is going to be one really great looking vehicle! While it shares much of the design style and looks with the New Generation i20 that is expected to start being rolled out in Europe in 2015, this new coupe promises to have a far a far more sporty character, and while there is no news yet about what engine is going to be powering this beauty, we can only hope that there will be at least a 1.6 twin turbo version!

Hyundai’s WRC i20 has put it foot on the podium with a 3rd! Considering that this is Hyundai’s first rally in more than a decade and only its third rally event, this is a great improvement and Hyundai is definitely improving race on race this year!
